House Republicans launch probe into GoFundMe over 'Liberty Convoy' fundraiser

House Minority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.) and Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.) on Thursday called on Business firm Democrats to hold a hearing on what they said was GoFundMe'southward selective discrimination in canceling the "Liberty Convoy" entrada by Canadian truckers.
"Nosotros write to request that you lot hold a hearing to examine yet another incident of Big Tech silencing certain viewpoints in potentially unlawful ways. This time GoFundMe Inc. is selectively discriminating against certain people by cancelling their ability to organize funds through its crowdfunding platform," Scalise and Comer wrote in their letter to House Majority Whip James Clyburn (D-Southward.C.) and Rep. Carolyn Maloney (D-N.Y.).
They wrote that GoFundMe also "attempted to defraud hardworking taxpayers of millions of dollars in donations received" in support of an organisation they said was promoting "individual liberty."
The alphabetic character added that the company was trying to "divert that money away from them and instead funnel it to other unrelated causes."

xvi. The "protest" has ended up as a blockade,
which should be illegal. They are behaving like thugs, and are supported by like-minded thugs. I know the Canadian and provincial governments are trying to preclude rioting and insurgency. And now it'due south happening in some European countries, and, inevitably, the US also.
No doubt in my mind that the Jan 6/21 insurrection was the rehearsal. Besides many bad actors were involved with that, and their "brothers in arms" are involved with this so-chosen protest.

fabricated to, say, a fifteen year onetime rape victim who needed to terminate her pregnancy, they'd swear upwardly and down it was the almost brilliant, righteous, Constitutionally-Protected Thing ... that whatever corporation had done in the history of the U.s..

take photographs at gay wedding, refuse to serve anyone, imagine this same idiots are complaining of not be served for political motivations past a private company. GoFundMe told them to Go F--thousand themselves. No where does it allow for political fundraising/

It looks similar Texas' Ken Paxton criminal AG as well jumped on the bandwagon...
Snip ~ Paxton stands out from the others mostly because he's been deliberately lying his ass off nearly it, which is a thing he frequently does and one of the reasons he is (all the same) indicted for Doing Crimes. 
And it'south the fundraisers who had claimed they'd exist "diverting" money from the protesters to other causes�an unnamed "veterans organization"�if people donated more than than the convoy needed. Ain't nobody threatening to investigate that, though.

When it is something they don't similar? And, yet, they want to use terminology like 'selective' and 'discrimination' to describe their plight? Equally if they would even know 'selective bigotry' even if they were striking over the head with it? Anyone who believes any of this crap is just pathetic in my opinion. They want to meddle in both the diplomacy of a private company that is post-obit its own policy, not to mention applicable laws as well as another nation? I say ship' em to Canada to answer for their interference. Afterwards dumping their asses from their position due to 'bear unbecoming'.
